As we move toward the close of the Torah cycle, we discuss the Song of Moses from Deuteronomy 32. In this passage we see the relationship between hearing and our ears as scales weighing words. Keith discusses the enlarged letter "Heh" that appears in this song. He also discusses the Name "Eloah" that is normally translated "God" in English Bible versions that happens to be a feminine word.
In the portion Nitavaim, (You are standing) Keith offers a broader paradigm of what it means by "those who are here today and those who are not here with us today." He also explores the importance of having one's name written in the Book of life and the potential of being blotted out of it. In addition, he discusses our access to the Torah and Paul's commentary on the passage in the book of Romans. We will see that Paul is in compete agreement with Deuteronomy 30 and says that "This is the Word of Faith that we preach."
